HDPE Iran Petrochemical 62107
HDPE Iran Petrochemical 62107 Resin
Material Introduction: HDPE Iran Petrochemical 62107 is a high‑density polyethylene grade supplied as non‑toxic, tasteless and odorless milky‑white pellets. It delivers high rigidity, high hardness, low deformation, good toughness and environmental stress‑cracking resistance.
Main Applications
Industrial containers & packaging: plastic crates, turnover boxes, cargo bins, bucket‑type containers and plastic vessels.
Other injection‑molded articles: low‑grade household goods, housings and non‑load‑bearing structural parts.
Performance Parameters
| Performance Category | Test Item | Test Method / Condition | Value & Unit | Remarks & Interpretation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic Properties | Density | ASTM D1505 | 0.960‑0.964 g/cm³ | HDPE grade with high hardness and good rigidity. |
| Melt Flow Rate (MFR) | ASTM D1238 (190°C/2.16 kg) | 6.0‑8.0 g/10min | Good melt flowability, well‑suited for injection molding. | |
| Mechanical Properties | Flexural Modulus | ASTM D790 | 1500 MPa | High modulus represents strong bending‑deformation resistance. |
| Tensile Yield Strength | ASTM D638 | 28.3 MPa | Stress when obvious plastic deformation starts. | |
| Izod Notched Impact Strength (23°C) | ASTM D256 | 55 J/m | Indicator of room‑temperature impact resistance. | |
| Thermal Properties | Brittleness Temperature | ASTM D746 | <‑118 °C | Excellent low‑temperature toughness under extreme cold conditions. |
| Other Properties | Shore D Hardness | ASTM D2240 | 65 | Provides certain surface scratch‑resistance. |
| Environmental Stress‑Cracking Resistance (F50) | ASTM D1693A (Igepal) | <10.0 hr | Indicator of anti‑stress‑cracking performance under specified chemical environment. |
Injection‑Molding Process Parameters
| Process Parameters | Recommended Range | Remarks & Interpretation (General HDPE characteristics) |
|---|---|---|
| Drying Treatment | Normally not required | Non‑hygroscopic polyolefin; drying is generally unnecessary. Optional drying at 60℃ for 1 hour to remove surface moisture for better product quality. |
| Barrel Temperature | 180‑230 ℃ | Wide adjustable temperature window for HDPE injection molding. Melting point ~142℃, decomposition temperature 300℃. |
| Mold Temperature | 50‑70 ℃ | Mold temperature greatly affects crystallization. Higher mold temperature brings higher crystallinity and strength along with larger shrinkage. |
| Injection Pressure | 70‑100 MPa | Relatively high melt viscosity; sufficient injection pressure is required for full filling, especially for thin‑wall parts. |
| Holding Pressure | 40%‑60% of injection pressure | Avoid excessive holding pressure and long holding time to reduce internal stress. |
| Screw Speed | Medium speed | Prevent excessive shear‑induced heat accumulation. |
